Children’s Classes 4-12 years old
How do you as a parent go about preparing your children for the challenges of our fast paced World? How do you teach them how to have a positive attitude, to be self motivated, to set and attain goals, to learn how to concentrate and focus, and if need be, how to defend themselves? These are all tricky tasks. This specialized type of education is not taught in our schools! It is not taught in our hockey arenas, lacrosse or soccer fields either. Unfortunately, it's not even being taught in our community organizations. These life skills, if taught to children at a young age, can have a tremendous impact on the outcome of their lives and how successful they become in the future.
At Yoon's Martial Arts School, we don't believe in just teaching children how to punch, kick and grapple. We work to help build your child's character and moral foundation. During classes, you'll see your child's energy, confidence, and spirit rise, while he/she becomes strong and confident. Our program can and WILL help your child increase his/her confidence, self-esteem, discipline, and manners; while teaching them life skills and self defence that will last a lifetime.
In our program, your child will be able to progress at his/her own pace, under our proven curriculum. We understand that each child is unique and learns at a different pace. Our curriculum is based on the individual, not on a group. We believe that to build a child’s confidence, we need to help him/her feel empowered. When children at our school get promoted to the next level, it is not because they held a belt for a certain length of time. Instead we teach them a curriculum that is prepared and administered by Instructor Bobby Triantafillou. Instructor Bobby has over 30 years of Martial arts experience. The students get tested by Grand Master Yoon, who has over 60 years of martial arts experience. When students pass a belt test, they feel a true sense of accomplishment, instead of an empty success.
The curriculum, in a nut shell, consists of the following:
Forms, kicks, self defence, grappling , sparring, falls and rolls, etiquette and character building.
